  • Students can only apply to one major (in Seoul National University) and any double applications (applications to two or more majors) will all be disqualified.
  • Even when the number of applicants does not meet the admit quota, the Major will not select students who are considered unfit for the program. Thus, the number of admits may sometimes not meet the quota.
  • Results of admissions exams will not be disclosed.
  • In the case that the applicant has submitted false records, fabricated documents, and other wrongful methods to apply and be admitted, the admission result will be cancelled, and his or her future application to the university may be restricted.
  • Required documents and examination certification require the applicant in question to appear in person for submission or collection.
    however, if the applicant possesses all the required documents and is believed to have fully understood the overall process like English Reading Comprehension Exam, Interview and Oral Exam, Second Foreign Language, he or she is given the opportunity to submit all documents via mail. However, in the case that some required documents are missing or the documents do not arrive by the deadline, the application will not be considered and only the applicant can be held accountable.
  • In the case that the applicant submits the required documents via mail, he or she should classify and submit separate packages to Social Sciences Administration Office and Political Science Major Office.

  • English Eligibility Criteria are TEPS Level 2+ (701), TOEFL iBT minimum 99 (TOEFL CBT, PBT are not considered)
  • In the case of graduates of institutions in English-speaking nations, no TOEFL or TEPS scores are necessary

The special admissions process whose admits are not included in the quota (Foreigners, Korean nationals who have completed all 12 years of their education abroad, Permanent Residents) should refer to separate announcements made by the Office of Admissions (http://admission.snu.ac.kr)
  • Required documents should be submitted to Political Science Major Office (16 #327, (02) 880-6331) and Social Sciences Administrative Office (16 #314, (02) 880-6306) in person, however, in the case of special circumstances (like not residing in Seoul), applicants can send in the documents via mail within the deadline.
