In an effort to keep up with rapidly globalizing world and take a lead in world politics, Korea demands individuals trained comprehensively in both Political Science and International Relations at an increasing rate. Seoul National University, thus, aims to foster such individuals by combining previously separated Political Science and International Relations majors together and offers a professional, progressive, and well-rounded education necessary to succeed in the rapidly changing world trends such as globalization and democratization.
The combined Political Science and International Relations Department has focused on the following
guidelines to foster individuals who possess both the macro perspective to observe general trends and
the micro knowledge to carry out meaningful studies on them.
